The collection of Brother Rudolphus

In the Middle Ages, Brother Rudolphus was sent through the abbey of the monastery in Echternach to Terschelling to map the flora and fauna. Recently, some pages from the book that Rudolphus made were found. His drawings show the most strange plants and animals. Has Rudolphus really seen these special animals on Terschelling? Or did his fantasy help him a hand?

Inspired by his drawings, the children of terschelling for the Oerol festival (2014) have re-formed the fantastic plants and animals: a pork dive with pork legs, shrimp growing on a shrub and a head of a woman's head.
